On Friday, October 25th, we teamed up with Reebok Classic to bring the world-renowned Howard University Homecoming an exclusive pop-up experience. With three convenient Shoe City locations surrounding the Howard University campus, it only made sense to put together a dynamic display of forthcoming footwear products. The pop-up included future Reebok Classic releases, an instant photo booth, custom Howard x Reebok x Shoe City t-shirts and 100 pairs of free sneakers to give away; in addition, pairs of the just released Kamikaze II Mid “Acid Rain” were available for purchase on site.

Celebrities and hip-hop artists such as Kevin McCall, Young Dro, Migos, Mack Wilds, A$ap Ferg, and Howard Homecoming Yardfest Host Low Key were all gifted with Reebok swag including a pair of the “Big Shaqtus” edition of the Reebok Shaq Attaq. Later that night, we gifted Floyd “Money” Mayweather with the newly released Kamikaze II Mid “Acid Rain” as well as a pair of the unreleased Shaqnosis in Pure Silver/Candy Pink for his lady.

On Saturday, October 26th, we catered to those craving a more scaled back, relaxed experience during the Howard Homecoming festivities. Thousands hit the yard every year to tailgate and watch the football game on two big screen TV’s. We raffled off two pairs of Reebok Classic shoes every half hour and passed out Reebok x Shoe City marketing cards informing people of our presence all over Howard’s campus.
